Jeep’s newest pickup truck, the Wrangler Unlimited, is set to launch in North America on September 1, but it’s been under a bit of scrutiny from the media over the past few weeks.
A new trailer for the Wrangler Limited is set for release in the coming weeks, and there’s been some speculation that Jeep may try to sell the new truck for less than $70,000, according to a new report from Axios.
However, the report notes that this isn’t the case and Jeep will be offering the Wranger Unlimited for around $70k, so there’s still some room for improvement here.
According to the report, the price tag for the original Wrangler is $73,100.
While this is a bit higher than the current Wrangler’s price tag, it’s still a lot cheaper than the Wrangs new truck.
The Wrangler has a starting price of $27,995, and with a $10,000 down payment, that’s around $4,200 more than the new Wrangler.
Jeep’s Wrangler range of trucks includes the Wragg-16, Wrangler Sport, Wrangles Grand Wagoneer, and the Wrangeland, which is based on the Wragoneer.
These new trucks will make their debut in the U.S. next year and Jeep plans to have at least 25 of these models on the road by 2018.
If you’re interested in seeing the new Jeep Wranger Limited, you can pre-order it now through Jeep’s website and get your hands on the vehicle from September 1st.
